Snorkeling in Australia

You won’t merely visit a new country; you’ll immerse yourself in the daily life of the people. You won’t simply live with a host family; you’ll become a member of a family and build ties that can last a lifetime. You won’t just see another way of life; you’ll live with others, adopting their language, traditions, food, and ultimately developing a deep understanding and connection to their culture. And perhaps most importantly, you’ll make deep, lasting friendships with people you might otherwise never have met, all while having an incredible amount of fun along the way.

The Experiment in International Living’s mission is to create meaningful, dynamic experiences for students eager to challenge themselves and engage their sense of global citizenry. Our goal is to help young people peel back the superficial differences that exist in their backgrounds and find authentic commonalities among other program participants and the people of their host countries. Each Experiment group is typically made up of 10 to 15 participants who come from diverse communities nationwide and from around the world—all of whom share an intellectual curiosity for the world around them and are looking to make a difference by broadening their own cultural horizons.
